Is it really free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it's free and you don't need an account. When you download, you enter your email: there's one free download per email each day, with no verification code. Your QR code and designs are made in your browser, and your logo never leaves it. With each download we keep your email, business name and WhatsApp number to apply the daily limit and so the AskKay team can contact you about WhatsApp ordering. What happens when a customer scans it?
WhatsApp opens a chat with your number, with your message already typed. They tap send and the conversation starts. There's no app to download and nothing to sign up for.
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No. Any WhatsApp number works. WhatsApp Business adds useful extras like quick replies, opening hours and a catalogue, so it's worth considering.
Which file should I download?
PNG and PDF are print-ready at 300 dpi at the size shown under the preview. SVG is the QR code on its own as a vector, for designers placing it in their own artwork.
Why can't I change the QR code's colour?
Black on white scans fastest on every phone, in every light. Colour your layout with the themes instead. The code itself stays as readable as possible.
Will the QR code ever stop working?
No. It's a standard wa.me link with no redirect, subscription or expiry date. It works for as long as your number is on WhatsApp.
